It occurred to me that I haven't written much since highschool, and in an effort to continue exploring the human condition, I need to practice my writing skills in a more intentional manner.
Here you will find a link to the worksheet that I've been working off of.
I've also been listening to Brandon Sanderson's playlist on writing fantasy fiction, and renewed my efforts in readings. I used to be a habitual reader, but that has taken a backseat to reading about scientific papers, textbooks, and similar scientific things with the goal of obtaining more knowledge.

.I like the road through time concept, walking forwards ages you rapidly, walking backwards rapidly causes you to become younger.
Walking on it isn't possible for mortals, as they are liable to get lost in time and/or die or become unborn.
A book that fills itself with the memories of those around you sounds like a neat magical item.
The wall is what the micro-scene ends up being written about.
I enjoyed the concept of the steps rippling into waves, unsure if it would be easy to write about.
I really enjoyed the concept of words appearing mid air and staying there.
Main Character: Gorman, 29 Where are they? At the market in Notown They want: To be known for their wit. Obstacle: The wall cannot be left, for it removes awareness that relates to it. Choice they must make: They may not be able to be known outside the wall. Cost of the choice: Suicide
The wall was approximately as long and as tall as a large whale. This was just tall enough that when you stood on a balcony, it didn't compell you to look down, instead, you would find yourself looking at the sky. This was a welcome change for those living in Notown. Notown was a strange place to be, for any attempt to leave would be a movement in relation to the wall, which would remove the desire to go away leaving the person confused. The same problem was also the reason Notown was the only place safe from Them. They knew about the wall in a way humans wished they did, as They seemed to be immune to its effects. Unfortunately, They used this knowledge to trap people in Notown, which is how Gorman found himself there. The steady influx of newcomers supplied Notown with more goods than could be consumed, and the market is where the denizens were storing those goods. Due to the immense oversupply of goods, everything was free, which was quite frustrating to the people who had staked their existence on their possessions of rare commodities.
Critique: Very poor writing, full of logical loopholes. I don't think I can write this in a way where it stays coherent with the wall removing awareness that relates to it. Perhaps it instead doesn't intervene unless people are trying to get away from it, where there are demons(or other negative consequence) for the duration that you attempt to leave or think about leaving. If you look at it, you retain no knowledge of what you saw. If you get too close, you cannot move away from it(the everpresent shadow of the wall on the ground around it grabs you and holds you in place).
